Wondering who’s in charge.
In the corridors of power, what transactions are taking place? What kinds of deals are being struck? Who’s benefitting as our countries lurch from crisis to crisis? Can anything we’re fed by the media be trusted?
You sense there’s a hidden agenda, but there’s no way of knowing.
Unsettled, you wonder whether those saddled with responsibility relish the scale of the decisions they have to make to balance vested interests with political survival.
